Dimitris Savalas

My Story.
 My Mission.

ABOUT
Dimitri was born in Greece and started playing soccer as soon as He could walk.
Migrated to the USA in his twenties and run successful businesses while continuing to play soccer in the USA. Now semi-retired continue to play twice weekly on an over 60’s team part of a Florida O60 league, as well as travel in the USA and in Europe to play with other veterans teams he brings enthusiasm, knowledge, and love of the game to his coaching.

When I first moved to the United States I was determined, probably because of my youthful arrogance and ignorance of all things foreign that I was going to stamp my own personality on this English-speaking foreign land.

It took me longer than it should have before the old adage ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’ really took effect on me. Playing the game most of my life and traveling to 25 countries playing it with veteran teams like Barcelona, Man United, River Plate, and more (visit our traveling team site to see details: www.bostonbraves.net ) not only taught me how to play better but how to develop a team spirit.
A better player is a better teammate first. You win games as a team, not as an individual. Coaching starts from the love of the game and the passion to transfer that knowledge to the kids
